UCI water event offers free movies, popcorn and a panel discussion
| Event: | UC Irvine will host a water-and-film event to raise awareness of how water issues affect people locally and regionally. The event features three free movies - one on a giant inflatable screen in Aldrich Park - and a panel discussion with experts from UCI, the Metropolitan Water District and the Irvine Ranch Water District. The UC Center for Hydrologic Modeling and the Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science Inc. are sponsoring the event, organized by Jay Famiglietti, UCI Earth system science professor; Rick Hooper, CUAHSI president; and Linda Lilienfeld, a film researcher. |
